In T20I cricket today, Abhishek Sharma embodies the idea that nothing is truly impossible. The daring southpaw has emerged as one of the most destructive batter in the world. Abhishek has scored two incredible centuries in the past year – a blazing 141 that helped Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) chase down an improable 246 in IPL 2025, and a knock of 135, the highest individual score by an Indian in T20I history. Abhishek also sports a tattoo that perfectly his fearless batting mindset.
The world’s top-ranked T20I batter revealed the tattoo on his right wrist in a recent Instagram photo.
“It will happen” – the tattoo reads, a motivational slogan that goes along nicely with Abhishek’s style of batting.
Within ten ours of being posted, Abhishek’s tattoo reveal garnered nearly one lakh likes on social media post.
At the top of the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings, Abhishek Sharma holds a commanding lead. With 925 rating points, the left-hander is 137 clear of fellow Indian Tilak Varma and 76 ahead of England’s Phil Salt, who sits in second place.
His recent performance has been quite impressive. During India’s triumphant Asia Cup 2025 campaign, Abhishek finished as the tournament’s top run scorer by a wide margin, earning the “Player of the Tournament” award.
Soon after, Abhishek was named “Player of the Series” as India defeated Australia 2-1, finishing once again as the series top run scorer.
The 25-year-old has become an indispensable part of India’s T20I squad. Luckily for India, he appears to be at his peak right before the T20 World Cup, which will be held at home in February-March 2026.
