In the ongoing season of the DPL 2025, North Delhi Strikers beat West Delhi Lions in match number 19 of the second session of the Delhi Premier League.
In the 19th match of the second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), the match was played between the West Delhi Lions and North Delhi Strikers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Monday.
While doing the batting first, North Delhi Strikers set a good target of 166 runs for West Delhi Lions with a brilliant batting performance. After having a tough fight in a bowling, Lions comes onto the pitch to bat and complete the target.
However, West Delhi Lions lost their two wickets early at the score of 13 runs, North Delhi Strikers skipper Harshit Rana and bowler Vikas Dixit took the two important dismissals for their team. Wicketkeeper Krish Yadav made 23 off 23 and gave a good start to the innings.
However, the batter, Hrithik Shokeen, started a shocking innings and hit five fours and three sixes and completed his half-century and made 51 runs off 24 deliveries and added 49 runs in 19 balls.
The skipper of North Delhi Strikers, Harshit Rana and bowler Deepanshu Gulia’s bowling attack broke the dream of the West Delhi Lions to win the match. Gulia took three important wickets in the match and stopped Delhi Lions on 154 on the loss of eight wickets. On the other hand, Delhi Strikers made 165 runs and lost 9 wickets in their innings.
