Indian Test captain Shubman Gill said it would be a big deal for the team if star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be there in the series-deciding fifth Test. Initially Bumrah was set to play only three of the five matches, but in such a critical situation, the team would appreciate his participation in the bowling attack.

Jasprit Bumrah- who suffered a back injury earlier this year- was assigned three of the five matches of this ongoing ENgland series. This decision was taken in order to manage his workload, and prevent any fatal injuries. He missed the Edgbaston Test and played in the other three.

“If he feels like he’s fully fit and available for us, I think it would be a great deal for us. If he’s not playing, I still think we have the right kind of bowling attack,” Gill told BBC’s ‘Test Match Special’.

Jasprit Bumrah has approximately four and a half days to recover for the final match, which is set to begin July 31. He has bowled 119.4 overs in five innings across three Tests so far. However, since he is India’s joint highest wicket-taker in the series along with Mohammed Siraj.
