Mumbai Indians entered the upcoming WPL Auction with Rs 5.75 crore remaining in their budget. The team can now add 13 more players – four from overseas and nine from India – bringing their squad to the maximum size of 18. The BCCI has set specific prie ranges for retained players, with a total auction purse of Rs 15 crore. Nat-Sciver Brunt was retained for Rs 3.5 crore, Harmanpreet Kaur for Rs 2.5 crore, Hayley Matthews for Rs 1.75 crore, and Amanjot Kaur for Rs 1 crore. The fifth player has a fixed value of Rs 50 lakh.
The Mumbai Indians will not have any Right to Match (RTM) cards in the auction, as teams allowed to retain a maximum of five players, and all five retentions have been utilized.
The team has retained a strong core of players ahead of the upcoming 2026 WPL season. Nat-Sciver Brunt leads the list with a Rs 3.5 crore contract, followed by Harmanpreet Kaur at Rs 2.5 crore and Hayley Matthews at Rs 1.75 crore. Amanjot Kaur has been retained for Rs 1 crore, while G Kamalini remains part of the squad with a Rs 50 lakh contract, ensuring a balanced mix of experienced players and emerging talent.
