Though Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) failed to make it to the playoffs in the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Abhishek Sharma scoring a gritty century against Punjab Kings is one of the memorable moments that was a clear show of his caliber and approach. After his century, Abhishek took out a paper that had ‘This one is for orange army‘ written on it.

Speaking about his century and the unique celebration in a recent interview on ‘Breakfast with Champions‘ in Oaktree Sports’ YouTube channel, Abhishek Sharma opened up about the celebration, and how former Indian star Shikhar Dhawan taught him about the importance of manifestation.

“Shikhar Dhawan had told me that manifestation is important, just manifest that you have already done it. He invited me to his home to have this conversation. He made me start writing in a diary. One thing is visualizing that I will do it, and the other is to visualize that I am doing it. That I am the best player of India, I have won many matches for the team, he made me write this,” he said.

“I do journaling before every game in the morning. So instead of that, I thought to write a chit. I wrote ‘This one is for Orange Army’. I kept it in my pocket. When I got to my fifty, I did not remember I had it too. I kept playing and the moment I made a hundred and celebrated, I remembered it and took the chit out,” Abhishek said.

Speaking about the most recent outing by Abhishek Sharma, he played a standout role in India’s victorious campaign in the Asia Cup 2025, where he scored 314 runs in seven innings. Abhishek was even given the Player of the Tournament title for his performance in the tournament.
