Former Indian spin-bowling superstar Ravichandran Ashwin recently retired from complete Indian cricket, including the Indian Premier League (IPL). He had earlier shared his idea of playing in foreign leagues, on which he has missed out on a massive deal, as he went unsold in the ILT20 Season 4 Player Auction on October 1.

R Ashwin was placed in the price range of $120,000 (approximately ₹1.06 crore) in the first-ever auction in the history of the league. However, he failed to attract any bids from the franchises and went unsold when his name was brought up on the big screen.

Speaking about the auction, each franchise had a purse of $800,000 for the auction, added with any of the remaining amount from the 1.2 million USD which was allocated earlier for direct signings and retentions.

Speaking about R Ashwin, he was recently signed by the Sydney Thunder for the 15th edition of the Bis Bash League (BBL). The superstar off-spinner is going to be available for the second half of the tournament- set to be held from December 14 to January 25.
