Pakistan team had a great start to their Asia Cup 2025 campaign, as they ended their first match of the tournament with a comfortable 93-run victory over Oman in Dubai.
Coming to bat first, Pakistan posted a total of 160 runs on the board while losing 7 wickets. Mhhammad Haris added 50+ runs on the board, with Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz also making significant contributions.
Oman lineup fell short to Pakistani bowlers, as they lost wickets in quick succession without adding much on the scoreboard. The team was half down without even reaching the 50-run mark. After the half-inning point, three quick dismissals broke the flow of the team.
It was, however, Shakeel Ahmed and Samay Shrivastava who showed a bit of resilience and carried the team for a few overs, but the Pakistan bowling attack eventually got the better half of their opponents, as the Men in Green won by 93 runs.
