Indian Test team’s top-order batter KL Rahul got into a heated conversation with the on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena during Day 2 of the fifth and final Test of the series against England at The Oval. The incident happened after a small exchange of words between Joe Root and Prasidh Krishna.

Joe Root approached Prasidh Krishna while saying something. Kumar Dharmasena was quick to come up to them and wanted the argument between Krishna and Root to end, then KL Rahul suddenly stepped in and backed his teammate. He even went on to ask the umpire if he wanted Indian team to just play and not show any emotions.

Here is how the conversation went on:
Rahul: What do you want us to do? Be quiet?
Dharmasena: You will like any bowled come and walk to you? No, you can’t do that. No Rahul, we should not go that way.
Rahul: What do you want us to do? Just bat and bowl and go home?

Prasidh Krishna eventually went on to show great bowling skills, and secured 4 wickets to his name while giving out only 62 runs. England were wrapped up in their 1st innings for a mere score of 247.
