India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav dealing with his sports hernia surgery. However, he already had his first session of batting at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Suryakumar Yadav is recovering from his surgery on his lower right abdomen and currently his under the supervision of BCCI’s medical staff. As per the reports he will be fit till the time of Asia Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav recently played for Triumph Knights Mumbai North East in the Mumbai T20 League in June, just after the end of IPL 2025. He scored 122 runs in four innings. He was also considered to be a part of Duleep Trophy for West Zone squad but, there are high chances that he will miss it.

If Suryakumar Yadav plays in the Asia Cup, it will his first important tournament as captain of the T20 team. He will become the first T20I skipper after Rohit Sharma’s retirement.
