Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj steal the show on the fifth day of the decider test match between India and England, with his great bowling skills, Siraj didn’t gave a single chance to the hosts to score 35 runs and he ended up the match with a five wicket haul as he dismissed Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, Gus Atkinson on the final day of the fifth test match, which helped India to secure a dramatic 6 runs victory over England.
Siraj was the leading wicket taker in the whole series, he clinched 23 scalps in the five-match series against England, with his great performance Indian skipper praised him and said “He is a captain’s dream“.
England team almost won the match against India as they only needed 35 runs basically the fifth day was no so important for them. However, Indian team bowling attack stopped them 29 on and won by 6 runs and level the series.
Siraj expressed his feeling after brilliant performance in the last test match “I always believe that I can win the game from any point, and this morning was no different,“.
After achieving this great moment, Siraj arrived in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport terminal, Mumbai. He was wearing dapper black casuals, as his fans were waiting for him and gave him a warm welcome and they were excited to get selfies and Autograph from him. However, he trooped in his car and left the place.
According to the reports, Siraj will straight headed to Hyderabad his home town. “We have not spoken to him yet. But we will certainly plan something (felicitation) for him, as he could be in the city for a while now. It’s a matter of pride for all of us that he did so well for the country in the series against England,” a Hyderabad Cricket Association told PTI.
