Nitish Kumar Reddy had made himself a promise to himself after India’s tour to Australia that he would improve his bowling, and on Thursday, he surely showed that he has indeed done what he had wished for.

Nitish Kumar Reddy bowled 44 overs in the five-match series in Australia (Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25). However, ahead of the England tour, he barely bowled in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and that did not end up in helping his all-round ability much.

Now, on day one of the third Test against England at Lord’s, Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley in the very first over. “After Australia tour I felt like I have to improve my bowling and consistency is what I look to achieve,” he said.

Reddy said he also had an extensive chat with India bowling coach Morne Morkel. “I have had chats with Morne as well. We are seeing good progression in my bowling and I am really enjoying working with him,” he added.
