Coming to the match, it had started raining before the toss was held, and it kept consistently pouring throughout the evening. Though there were a couple of times when the officials and referees had come out to the field in order to discuss, raining hopes in the fans and all the supporters, the weather had other plans as every time the hopes increased, the rain then started pouring yet again.
The overs soon started getting cut down, and the match was getting short by every minute. Eventually, the officials had decided that too much time had passed, and they officially announced that the match had to be abandoned.
