Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced each other on May 19. During this match, SRH batter Abhishek Sharma got involved in a heated exchange with LSG spinner Digvesh Rathi. The matter was solved when umpires and players from both the teams intervened and took the two players apart from each other.

Abhishek Sharma was in a rather aggressive form during the clash against LSG. He slammed four sixes against Ravi Bishnoi and completed his fifty in just 18 balls. However, he was dismissed by a delivery off Digvesh Rathi in the very next over, as he got caught out by Shardul Thakur.

Digvesh Rathi did his trademark ‘Notebook’ celebration after the dismissal, which broke Abhishek Sharma’s patience. Abhishek said something to Digvesh, which led to a heated altercation between the two players. Umpires and rest of the LSG players intervened and separated the two players to prevent further conflict.

Even after the altercation with Abhishek Sharma, Digvesh Rathi did not stop and did his ‘Notebook’ celebration once again when he dismissed Ishan Kishan. However, Rishabh Pant was seen speaking about something to him.

Digvesh Rathi has already been fined twice for his iconic ‘Notebook’ celebration. However, he did the same gesture once again during the clash against SRH, after which him being given a fine is a surety.
