During the clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kamindu Mendis managed to secure one of the greatest catches in the History of Indian Premier League (IPL), securing the wicket of Dewald Brevis.
Dewald Brevis had played a knock od 42 runs off 25 balls, which was accompanied by 1 four and 4 sixes. His knock was put to an end b Kamindu Mendis, which was in such a way that will be remembered for a very long time. The South African tried to hit a six over the long-off.
However, Kamindu Mendis must have been in the mood to do something that would catch everyone’s attention, and hence he made a long dive towards his side, securing the ball with both the hands, even showing the ball in his hand while smiling as to show everyone that he had easily secured the catch.

Coming to the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in their Indian Premier League match here on Friday to keep their play-off hopes alive.
With his defeat, CSK almost bowed out of the play-offs race even as SRH stayed alive theoretically.
Sent into bat, Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for 154. In reply, SRH completed the task in 18.4 overs with Ishan Kishan (44), Kamindu Mendis (32 not out) and Nitish Reddy (19 not out) making valuable contributions with the bat.
This is SRH’s first victory against CSK at this venue.
