Rajasthan Royals pacer Sandeep Sharma set an embarassing IPL record as he bowled a 11-over ball during their IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium .
Sandeep bowled four wides and one no ball , conceding 19 runs in the over. Tristan Stubbs further increased the pressure by smashing a four and a six, deepening Sandeep’s misery. The pacer nearly had a breakthrough on the final delivery, but Maheesh Theekshana dropped a catch, leaving Sandeep with disappointing figures of 0/33.

DC secured a convincing victory in the super over, with the help of Mitchell Starc who bowled an impressive final over.
Asked to bat first Delhi Capitals posted a total of 188 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, Rajasthan Royals started their innings on a strong note with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring an impressive 51 off 27 deliveries. Nitish Rana also played a brilliant knock scoring 51 off 28 deliveries, helping RR reach a solid position in the match before a brilliant final over spell by Starc, who took the game to the super over.
Earlier DC’s Abhishek Porel played a brilliant knock of 49 runs off 37 balls, KL Rahul too contributed with his bat as he scored 38 off 32 balls. Skipper Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs took DC to a strong position with their impressive knock of 34 off 14 balls and 34 off 18 balls respectively, helping DC post a fighting total of 188 runs.
