Gujarat Titans (GT) registered their maiden victory of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, as they won over Mumbai Indians by 36 runs. As thy batted first, GT posted a total of 196 for MI. Sai Sudarshan made significant contribution for the team with a score of 63 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav (48 runs) and Tilak Varma (39 runs) had tried to chip in some significant runs for the team along with Hardik Pandya (11 runs), Naman Dhir (18 runs) and Mitchell Santner (18 runs), but their efforts went in vain as the team eventually completed their quota of 20 overs and they failed to complete their target by 36 runs.

Gujarat were right next to Mumbai at the ninth spot before this victory. Now, MI went down to the ninth place whereas GT moved up to the third position.

As of now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are at the top spot, with 2 victories in as many matches. They did the unbelievable by defeating the five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk after 17 long years on March 28.
